Before entering the academic program, all students must clear their eligibility status for a student visa (type A2) or Israeli citizenship with the Israeli embassy or consulate in their country of origin. As of 2012, it’s no longer possible to enter Israel with a tourist visa and have it replaced with a student visa while in Israel. Once entering Israel with a tourist visa, the visitor must leave Israel after three months. All Visas will be handled after acceptance.
The minimum required grade point average is 80/3.0 and above.
Technion summer courses and internships are open to students in all fields and are particularly relevant to students with a background in: engineering, science, pre-med and business.
We recommend enrolling in no more than two academic courses during the program, since the courses are intensive.
Yes, upon successful completion of your chosen course(s) and/or internship, you will be awarded a commensurate number of Technion credits.
Once registered on our online application system, you will be prompted to provide an email address of a faculty member or academic supervisor at your home institution willing to provide you with a recommendation letter. An email will be sent directly to the evaluator asking them to send their recommendation letter.
No, this won’t be necessary, only your graduate transcripts will be reviewed as part of your application. However, if the need arises, we will notify you.
